While there is incredible food all throughout Texas, the state isn’t exactly known for serving great pizza. Over the years, many pizzerias have tried to bring their brand to the Lone Star state, and while some have succeeded, others didn’t quite pass the Texas taste test. Now, another pizzeria is giving Texas a try, as the founders of Sprinkles Cupcakes are opening the first Texas location of their pizza spinoff, Pizzana, in DFW this week.
Pizzana was founded in California back in 2017, and after years of building a following on the west coast, the pizzeria is finally ready to expand. On Tuesday, Pizzana will open their first location outside of California in DFW at 3219 Knox St. Led by chef Daniele Uditi, who has appeared on Hulu's "Best in Dough" pizza competition series, the pizzeria is hoping their style of pizza will take off in Texas.

“Pizzana’s menu will satisfy any carb carving and everything on the menu is worth the indulgence,” said Candace Nelson. According to Dallas Culture Map, their menu consists of pizzas, antipasti, salads, desserts, and vegan options. Hopefully this new pizzeria can help change the perception of Texas pizza.
