There are some workers who love their job, but for many employees their work days are all about just trying to make it to the finish line. For those workers that are already focused on retirement, they may want to think about moving to Plano. A recent study named the North Texas city as the fifth best city in America for early retirement.

Planning for the future is always important, especially for those hoping to retire early. That’s why SmartAsset recently decided to conduct a study trying to find the locations that make this the most possible. They looked as aspects such as tax friendliness, elderly care, affordability and livability to find the top 25 cities for early retirement. Based on their results, Plano was ranked as the fifth best city for early retirement in the entire United States.

According to CW33, El Paso also made the list at number 17, and the top city in America for early retirement was Gilbert, Arizona. As for Plano, the study claimed the city “also has the best effective income tax for retirees (16.24%) and there is no state capital gains tax in Texas.” Hopefully no one shares this info with all the companies that have moved to Plano in recent years.
