A pair of men were arrested in Carrollton in what started as a tip given to Burleson police officers about some suspected fraud.

Burleson police were notified of a theft of gift cards from a Home Depot in the area, which led them to a Target right next door located in the 200 block of Northwest John Jones Drive.

They pulled over their suspects who reportedly had more than 1,000 gift cards in the back "neatly packaged and organized in bundles and boxes," according to WFAA.

Officers' investigation eventually led them to a hotel in Carrollton where they found 4,017 gift cards with an estimated value of $1,720,050!

The two suspects are facing charges of theft of property over $300,000 and fraud.
