The first day of school is always exciting, but that feeling tends to quickly fade away as the school year begins. However, students at the newest high school in Prosper are likely to remain excited for a while, as the school they’re walking into is unlike any high school the metroplex has seen before. Walnut Grove High School went viral this week as students got their first glimpse at the massive facilities and mall-style food court located inside the school.
While Walnut Grove High School opened their doors for the first time last week, students are still getting used to the massive new school they will be learning at for the next few years. The rest of the country was just as stunned when photos of the new school went viral, showing off the massive basketball court, indoor football facility and weight room at the school. As seen in the viral photos the school also features a mall-style food court that features restaurants such as Sonic and Jimmy Johns.
According to Star Local Media, the school’s architecture is a classical revival style. “We want to use our amazing building to utilize the collaborative spaces to enhance learning opportunities for our kids,” said Walnut Grove Principal Dustin Toth. At this new school, students may actually enjoy going to class.
