Quentin Tarantino has made a number of films that are beloved by many. While the director is known for writing his own movies, he recently revealed an idea he had for a remake of another film. Tarantino claimed he wants to make a remake of the 1982 film ‘Rambo’ with Adam Driver replacing Sylvester Stallone.
For years, Quentin Tarantino has claimed he plans to retire after his tenth film. With that number quickly approaching, expectations for his films continue to rise. While fans usually have to wait until Tarantino comes up with an original idea, the director recently revealed he considered several projects he didn’t write. One of those was a remake of ‘Rambo,’ but according to Tarantino; it would be much different than the original.
“If I just wanted to make a good movie that I knew would be good, I would take David Morrell's novel for First Blood and do the novel. Not the movie that was made out of First Blood. I would do the novel. And Kurt Russell would play the sheriff, and [Adam Driver] would play Rambo,” said Tarantino. According to Screen Rant, there are no plans to make the film at this time. With ideas like that, hopefully Tarantino changes his mind about retiring after his tenth film.
