Official release date announced for 'Oasis Knebworth 1996' documentary

Tickets for the film are expected to go on sale next month

Earlier this year, it was announced that despite years of fighting, the Gallagher brothers were working on a new film about Oasis. Now, the official release date for that upcoming documentary has been released, and fans could not be more excited. 'Oasis Knebworth 1996' is expected to debut in theaters worldwide on September 23, with tickets going on sale next month.

With both Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher serving as executive producers, fans are expecting an in depth inside look at Oasis' show at Knebworth in August of 1996. The film will mark the 25th anniversary of the iconic concert. Directed by Jake Scott, the documentary will be a "joyful and at times poignant cinematic celebration of one of the most iconic live concert events of the last 25 years, driven entirely by the music, and the fans' own experiences of that monumental weekend," according to a press release.

"Knebworth for me was the Woodstock of the 90's. It was all about the music and the people," said Liam Gallagher. According to NME, tickets for the film will be available starting August 10. For fans of Oasis, this documentary is definitely a must see.
