For months, DFW wrestling fans have been patiently waiting for any news on the upcoming movie about the Von Erich family, ‘The Iron Claw.’ While some images of the stars in character have been released, there hadn’t been much info on when fans could finally expect to see the film. However, that changed this week when the film’s release date was finally announced.
On December 22, ‘The Iron Claw’ will finally hit theaters, telling the story of Kevin, Kerry, David and the rest of the Von Erich family. The A-24 produced film stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White and Harris Dickson and is directed by Sean Durkin. According to WFAA, the film will follow the family’s story from the ‘60s to the present day.
New photos of the cast in character were released on Thursday, along with the release date announcement. While may in North Texas already know the Von Erich’s story, soon many others will be introduced to the world of World Class Championship Wrestling and the Dallas Sportatorium.
