Report claims DFW could be America’s biggest metro by 2100

The report claimed Texas could have the top three spots on the list in 77 years

Texas has been growing at an extreme rate in recent years, and it appears that trend won’t stop any time soon. Whether it’s for job opportunity, lifestyle or just simply wanting to give the Lone Star state a try, just about every major metro in Texas has seen a population increase in recent years. Now, a new report is claiming DFW could become the biggest metro in America by the year 2100.

A new analysis shared by moving service moveBuddha states recent trends show DFW’s population could increase to 33.91 million people in the next 77 years. This would make North Texas the largest metro in America based on their predictions. According to Dallas Culture Map, Houston and Austin could also see a jump to the second and third biggest metros in America as well.

"The future of America may lie in Texas," says the report. Of course, factors such as economic and climate changes over the next 77 years could affect these predictions. However, at this rate is seems by next century Texas will be on top.
