Smash Mouth fans were stunned last fall when lead singer Steve Harwell announced he would be retiring from the band. After a bad performance went viral, the singer revealed he was dealing with health issues and could no longer perform. While many thought it would be the end of the band, Smash Mouth recently announced they have found a new singer, and showed him off in the best way possible; by “Rickrolling” their fans.

On Wednesday, Smash Mouth shared their first song with their new singer, Zach Goode. The song was a cover of Rick Astley’s iconic ‘Never Gonna Give You Up.’ The new version of the song has many fans excited about the new singer, with many claiming he sounds similar to Harwell. Goode previously worked as a voice actor and also fronted a Weezer cover band, according to Loudwire.
