For some people, going to the grocery store is always a stressful experience. Not only do they have to deal with people in every aisle, but making decisions on what food to buy, or what is actually needed, can be difficult for many. Now, a woman in Australia has found yet another reason to avoid supermarkets, as she came face to face with a python hiding behind the spices.
As seen in the now viral clip, a snake somehow made it inside an Australian supermarket, popping out from behind the spice jars, and extending its body into the aisle. “I was in the spice aisle just looking for something to put on my chicken that night so I didn’t initially see it because it was curled up way back behind the little jars of spices. I kind of turned to my right and it poked its head out,” said Helaina Alati, the woman who came face to face with the non-venomous python.
Luckily, Alati happened to be trained snake catcher, so she was able to help safely remove the snake from the store. According to Fox News, Alati released the snake in the nearby woodlands. It is unknown how the snake ended up in the supermarket, and hopefully it doesn’t return.
