People who spend their entire lives in Texas are usually shocked when they find out some things done in the Lone Star state aren’t done anywhere else. One of the traditions that is specific to Texas is girls receiving mums for their high school homecoming dance. Now, one DFW mother has taken things a step further, creating a massive 12 foot mum for her daughter’s homecoming that may be the largest ever.

Snyder High School is set to play their homecoming game against Holliday this Friday, which means girls in the area will soon be receiving their mums in celebration of the festivities. However, one girl’s mum may end up getting a little more attention than the others. That’s because her mum is 12 feet tall and is made with 15 8-foot-long ribbons.

According to CW33, the mum was made for Sydney Ubando, who is a senior and Capitan of the cheer squad, by her mom. “We love to do oversized decorations to match the oversized spirit of our students, athletes and cheerleaders,” said Brandi Ubando. With this mum, her daughter’s homecoming will definitely be one to remember.
