Most criminals get caught by not having a well thought out exit strategy. While the first part of the plan may go without missing a beat, it’s the end that usually causes a few hiccups. That’s exactly what happened to someone in California recently after they attempted to steal a 60 foot yacht, crashing it into a number of other yachts before getting arrested.
A marina in Newport, California got some unexpected excitement this week, when a yacht thief crashed a 60 foot yacht into other boats. While it wasn’t a great day for the boat owners, the internet was given a treat as a number of people at the marina captured video of the yacht crash. Luckily no one was harmed, as police said at least one person was treated for minor injuries and the person who stole the boat was arrested on “suspicion of grand theft of a boat and possession of a stolen boat,” according to Bro Bible.

Many online were shocked at the amount of damage the yacht was able to do. Some have even estimated the damage to be in the millions. Hopefully those boat owners didn’t cheap out on the insurance.
