The State Fair of Texas is still months away from opening day, but that doesn’t mean many in the metroplex aren’t already getting excited for this year’s festivities. Luckily for those that can’t wait, the State Fair recently unveiled what this year’s theme will be. This year, the fair will be all about the games, food and rides as the 2023 theme is “Explore the Midway.”
While for some, the State Fair of Texas is all about the food, every year there is a theme for the fair’s events and activities. This year, the “Explore the Midway” theme will honor all the games, food and rides that can be found at the fair’s famous midway. According to Fox 4 News, the fair also released some theme art that featured the "flip a chick" game, the Top O' Texas Tower and even Big Tex riding a carousel.
Along with the Midway theme, the fair will also be celebrating the iconic carousel’s 100th anniversary. The State Fair of Texas will run this year from September 29 to October 22. Now that the theme has been revealed, anticipation throughout the metroplex will begin to skyrocket.
