There are many icons that have come from the great state of Texas, but arguably none are as intimidating as Stone Cold Steve Austin. That's why when the wrestling legend wanted to debut his new beer in Texas, the California-based brewing company he collaborated with was happy to comply.
Austin recently announced he will launch his new beer at a "one-of-a-kind stellar throw down" at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth on March 31.
Stone Cold Steve Austin is no stranger to the world of beer. Not only did the wrestler become known for his victory celebration, where he smashes beer cans together and chugs them, but he also released his own beer in 2014, Broken Skull IPA. Now, Austin has once again teamed up with California-based brewing company El Segundo for his new beer, Broken Skull American Lager. According to Dallas Observer, the lager is a 4.8% ABV with 100% Contessa.
"I am truly proud to bring Broken Skull American Lager to the great state of Texas with El Segundo Brewing Company. I was born in Austin, played football at UNT in Denton, and started my pro wrestling career at the world-famous Sportatorium in Dallas. I look forward to celebrating this illustrious event at the most iconic Honky Tonk club in Texas, Billy Bob's," said Austin. Hopefully the beer can be opened without smashing two cans together.
