The Fourth of July is only a few days away, which means many throughout the country are showing off their patriotism any chance they get. Luckily for those in DFW who feel they are being outdone, a new study is claiming just being a fan of the Dallas Cowboys is extremely patriotic. The study, which set out to find the most patriotic fan bases in the NFL, ranked Cowboys fans among the most patriotic in the league.

The Dallas Cowboys have been known as “America’s Team” since the 1970s, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that their fans are some of the most patriotic in the NFL. According to a new study conducted by Oddspedia, Cowboys fans were ranked the fourth most patriotic, only trailing the Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. To come up with the rankings, the study surveyed over 6,000 NFL fans, asking questions about their patriotism.

Cowboys fans ranked so highly thanks to more than half answering the question “are you proud to be an American” with a response of 'extremely or 'very' proud, which was the highest of any fan base. As for the Cowboys biggest rivals, the Giants, Eagles and Commanders all ranked outside the top 10. Now Cowboys fans have a new way to torment those fans next season.
