One of the best parts of going on a road trip is all the snacks that are eaten along the way. However, with so many options to choose from sometimes it can be difficult picking something to eat while on the road. Luckily, a new study has found the top road trip snack for every state, and it included a few surprises.
Upgraded Points recently shared the results of a study finding each state’s most popular road trip snack. The study found the top choice for each state by looking at Google Trends results from the last five years. While many states went with classics like potato chips or beef jerky, one of the biggest surprises was right here in Texas, where the top choice was rice cakes, according to CW33.
Texas wasn’t the only state picking rice cakes, as surprisingly six others had it as their top choice as well. Overall, the top choice was potato chips, with combos and popcorn also being selected in many states. With this study, it should be easy to find the perfect road trip snack.
