Summer is almost over and for many in DFW the change of season can’t come soon enough. Not only have North Texans dealt with record breaking heat this summer, but just like every year the bugs were in full force. While heat is usually the main complaint in Texas during the summer, bugs are always an issue as well, as a recent study named Dallas as the second buggiest city in America.

Home services website Thumbtack recently unveiled the results of a study to find the cities in America with the most insects. The study found that July and August are the buggiest months of the year, and states in the south are usually hit the hardest. According to KXAN, Dallas ranked as the second buggiest city on the list, which was one spot lower than last year’s list.

Taking over the top spot this year was Atlanta, Georgia. However, Texas still had plenty of representation on the list, with Austin at number three, Houston at four and San Antonio at number 14. Maybe next year the bugs will finally decide to avoid Texas.
