Most pet owners will do just about anything for their animal companions. However, a new study claims living in DFW isn’t making things easy for pets or their owners. The study ranked 100 of the largest cities in America in terms of pet-friendliness and while no North Texas cities ranked highly, none did worse than Dallas which was named one of the least pet-friendly cities in America.

WalletHub recently unveiled the results of a study to find the most pet-friendly cities in America. To determine the rankings, the study evaluated each city across 23 different metrics. According to CW33, the cities were then ranked based on three categories: Pet Budget, Pet Health & Wellness and Outdoor Pet-Friendliness.

Based on the data Dallas ranked 99th out of 100 on the list of most pet-friendly cities, with only Baltimore, Maryland ranking lower. The rest of Texas didn’t fare too well either, as the highest ranking cities were Lubbock and Austin, which were tied for 27th. While Texas may not be the most pet-friendly state, like most of the residents, Texas pets likely still prefer living in the Lone Star state.
