The holiday season is right around the corner, but looking around DFW some may think it is already here. All over the metroplex, Christmas lights are starting to go up, and winter events are being announced. However, that shouldn’t come as a surprise, as a recent study ranked DFW as the 2nd most festive city in the entire country.

Home services website Thumbtack recently conducted a study to find the most festive cities in the United States. Using data from millions of home projects booked through the Thumbtack platform, the study was able to find the cities with the most holiday spirit. Based on the research, Texas may just be the most festive state, with three cities landing in the top five.

According to WFAA, DFW was the second most festive city in the country, with Austin claiming the number one spot, and Houston ranking fourth.
While the study found that the most common time to hang lights was November 21-27, here in Texas it begins a lot sooner. Now Texas has something else to brag about.
