Survey ranks Texas top 10 in annual beer consumption

Beer drinkers often brag about the amount of alcohol they can consume without getting sloppy. While some are proud of their lightweight status, others spend their nights out proving they can drink more than their buddies.
Now, a new survey has determined which states can consume the most beer per year, and Texas was ranked in the top 10.

Using data from the Beer Institute’s Brewer’s Almanac report, Data Agency’s 2021 Beer Rankings report and Google search analysis, a recent survey was able to determine which state drink the most beer. Based on the stats, Texas ranked 8th in the country for Annual gallons of beer consumed per capita. The survey also found 54 beer breweries throughout the state, and the top beer choice for Texas was Lone Star, according to Visual Capitalist.

As for the rest of the country, the top beer drinking state per capita was New Hampshire according to the survey. There has also been an average increase in sales of 8.9% since 2019. At least now Texans can brag they can drink more than 42 other states.
