Every city in Texas wants to be known as the best, which is why rivalries between all the major metros go far beyond sports. Now, a new study has given DFW some bragging rights, as two other Texas cities were recently included on the list of most forgetful cities. Luckily for North Texans, the metroplex didn’t even crack the top 10 after being in the top five last year.

Uber recently unveiled their 2023 Lost and Found Index, and while many were mostly interested in finding out what odd objects had been left behind in cars this year, those in DFW noticed something else included in the stats. According to Chron, San Antonio was ranked as the second most forgetful city, while Houston came in at number four on the list. Last year, it was Dallas and Austin on the list, but this year neither made it into the top 10.

Of course, the real surprise is the type of stuff people in these cities left behind, and while it’s unknown if any of these actually came from Texas, some of the biggest shockers were a “Danny DeVito Christmas ornament" an "ankle monitor" and "a fire sword." As for the Texas rivalry, thanks to this report, DFW now can claim forgetfulness as a reason to avoid San Antonio and Houston.
