A family’s pet going missing is always a horrible feeling, especially as more time passes without it being found. Luckily for one family in Texas, their 19 year old dog was found safe thanks to two kids that were fishing in a pond. The two boys spotted the senior dog and helped return it to its owner within hours.
Allison Stanley’s two sons recently went fishing at a San Antonio pond when they spotted a dog in the bushes. The tiny dog clearly needed help so the boys quickly jumped in the water to retrieve the dog. “I could clearly see she was old and blind and likely missing teeth, so I wasn’t too worried about her biting him," said the mother.
According to Fox News, the family got the dog and brought it back to their house to warm up and eat some food. After doing some research online, Stanley learned the dog had been missing for 48 hours and belonged to a nearby family. Luckily for the family, the dog was returned safely all thanks to the two hero kids.
