Over the last few years, many have seen a price increase on some of their favorite foods and one Texas man has had enough. After noticing his bill growing every time he ordered fajitas, the man decided to make a spreadsheet breaking down the prices of the most popular spots for fajitas in the Houston area. Now, that spreadsheet has gone viral as many can’t believe what restaurants are charging these days for the Tex-Mex staple.
With the price of dining out continuing to increase, one Houston man decided to give his fellow Texans a glimpse into what they were paying for. “Attached below is the fajita prices for every restaurant I could think of near the Heights. After feeling continuously ripped off, I’ve reached peak dad life of spreadsheeting this thing out,” the man wrote in his now viral tweet. According to Chron, the spreadsheet was broken down into three categories: half- and whole-pound prices for chicken fajitas, beef fajitas, and combo fajitas.
There were 13 restaurants featured on the spreadsheet, including Texas chain Pappasitos. Overall, Pappasitos was one of the higher priced restaurants, with full pound orders of chicken being sold for $50 and full pound order of beef going for $71. Maybe this spreadsheet will make restaurants realize they are charging fajita lovers way too much.
