Halloween is only a few days away, and businesses all over the country are getting into the holiday spirit with decorations and specialty items. However, one Texas pizza shop may have taken things a step too far this year. The restaurant is dealing with some online backlash after they used a "Jeffery Dahmer pizza" on display for decoration.
Like many others, the staff at Capital Pizza in Lubbock are clearly fans of the new Netflix true crime series, 'Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.' In fact, one of their servers recently made a fake "Jeffery Dahmer pizza" to include in their Halloween decorations. "It's just a Styrofoam base. It's got plastic prosthetics on it … eyeballs fingers, there's an ear. Ramen noodles are kind of the main thing here and some fake blood, and then we, as we do with all of our pizzas, we topped it with a pepperoncini," said the restaurant's manager.
While the restaurant was excited about the decorations, apparently some customers weren't fans, as some left negative reviews online due to the decorations. According to KXAN, the restaurant plans to keep the decorations, claiming "it's a fun prop." Hopefully this doesn't lose them too many customers.
