Texas has seen a lot of growth in recent years, and it looks like that will continue in 2022. With businesses continuing to move to Texas, and more residents moving to the Lone Star state every day, that growth is expected to hit new level next year. According to recent estimates, Texas’ population is expected to hit 30 million in 2022.
The U.S. Census Bureau recently released data that showed Texas had a population growth of 1.1% from July 1, 2020 to July 1, 2021. That’s takes in to account all the births, deaths, people moving to Texas, and people moving out of Texas, according to Dallas Culture Map. In that time, Texas ranked first in number of residents added bringing in 850 new residents per day.
Those numbers are expected to continue in the new year, which would bring Texas’ population to above 30 million. Currently the population of Texas is at 29,527,941. By 2022 everything truly will be bigger in Texas.
