The Texas Rangers are already half way through the 2023 season, but the team wants to make sure fans are up to date all the way through next year. Last week, the Rangers released an 18 month calendar featuring players, coaches, their pets and even a few animals rescued from The Pawerful Rescue in Royse City, Texas. Proceeds from the calendar will go to the non-profit animal rescue center that works to provide a safe and comfortable home for all animals.
Since joining the Texas Rangers last year, pitcher Jon Gray and his wife, Jacklyn, have become quite familiar with The Pawerful Rescue. Not only did the couple adopt their dogs from the rescue, but Jon has donated $100 per strikeout since the beginning of the 2022 season. Now, the Grays have the rest of the organization joining in to support the rescue, releasing an 18 month calendar featuring player, manager Bruce Bochy, and some adorable animals.
According to MLB.com, the calendar runs from July 2023 to December 2024. While calendars sold out at the Grand Slam Team Store at Globe Life Field, fans can get one at the MEGA Pet Adoption event at Globe Life Field July 29. This is a calendar any dog lover or Rangers fan would love.
