If you want to spend the evening watching the stars, there few better places to be than the Lone Star State.
A new study from Casino.ca ranked Texas in the top three “stargazing destinations” in the U.S.
According to CW33, the states were ranked based on a number of factors that blended scientific sky‑darkness data with real‑world factors such as accessibility, tourism appeal, national parks, organized stargazing events, and even social media reports of meteor sightings.
Texas recorded 4,240 shooting star sightings over the past year, the second‑highest total in the country among the one million sightings analyzed and was praised for its vast landscapes and low‑light‑pollution regions contribute to darker skies.
