The holiday season is officially here and luckily for those in the holiday spirit, themed events will be taking place in the metroplex all throughout the month of December. While many businesses are getting their seasonal events together, multiple state parks in Texas will be holding holiday events as well. For those looking to have a good time out in nature for the holidays, there will be plenty of opportunities this year.
All throughout Texas, state parks are getting into the holiday spirit with events featuring drive-thru light tours, special holiday hikes, arts and crafts for kids and more. In the DFW area alone there are 8 state parks throwing holiday events this year. Some of these include Reading Ranger campfire stories at Tyler State Park, the 10th annual Christmas in the Park drive thru lights at Daingerfield State Park, pancakes with Santa at Cleburne State Park and more.

According to Dallas Culture Map, there will be events at Lake Tawakoni State Park, Eisenhower State Park, Cedar Hill State Park, Lake Mineral Wells State Park and Dinosaur Valley State Park as well. Some of these events book up fast, so those interested should act fast. With these events, this holiday season should be one of the best.
