Usually when wine drinkers dream about visiting the best vineyards in the world they picture California, France or Italy. However, in recent years Texas Hill Country has established itself as a major player in the wine world. Now, a recent report has named a Texas vineyard as one of the best in the entire world.
World’s Best Vineyards recently unveiled their top 100 list for 2023. According to Dallas Culture Map, for the second year in a row Hye’s William Chris Vineyards made the list. While the Texas vineyard dropped from 56th to 60th on this year’s list, it was one of only six vineyards in the US to make the cut.
The report looks at total experience, from quality wines and educational offerings to lodging and hospitality to determine the rankings. An academy of 500 wine experts, sommeliers, and travel writers vote on each vineyard, and clearly many are a fan of William Chris Vineyards. Now Texas has yet another thing to claim to be the best at.
