Just about everything a person may need is available for purchase at Walmart. However, one shopper recently learned not everything inside the store is for sale. The Texas woman was arrested recently after offering to buy another customer’s infant child for $500,000.

A woman in Crockett, Texas recently brought her two children shopping at Walmart with her, but what seemed like a normal day of running errands quickly turned into a shopping experience the mother will likely never forget. While in the self-checkout line a woman approached the mother commenting on her youngest child’s hair and eyes, eventually asking how much the child costs. The woman, who was later identified as Rebecca Taylor, first offered the woman $250,000 but later stepped her offer up to $500,000.

Eventually Taylor left the store, but waited for the mother in the parking lot, screaming at her as she left. According to Fox News, Taylor was eventually arrested and charged for sale or purchase of a child before being released on a $50,000 bond. Maybe next time she will start the bidding at $1 million.
