With Christmas only a few days away, houses all over Texas are lit up for the holiday. Of course, some people take things a little more seriously than others when it comes to Christmas decorations. That includes one woman in Kyle, Texas who has started a yearly tradition of turning her home into a life-sized gingerbread house.

Back in 2020, Kristine Lilly wanted to find a way to spread Christmas cheer throughout her entire neighborhood. After thinking back to her childhood, and her love of gingerbread houses, she decided to turn her own house into one. Now, Lilly has continued the tradition for a third year, as her home has once again become the talk of the neighborhood.

According to NBC DFW, each guest gets a free cup of hot chocolate and photos with Santa, played by Lilly's husband. Lilly has even turned the attention into a way to give back, as she is asking visitors for canned food donations to help combat food insecurity in the local community. For anyone in her neighborhood, it will be hard to top the Lilly house.
