Reality shows have officially taken over television, as it seems every channel has at least one show about an unlikely career, a crazy family, or someone that is famous for no reason. While not everyone is a fan, those that are tend to obsess over the drama unfolding in the lives of real people. Luckily for those that are fans, the first ever “Reality Fest” is coming to DFW in the fall, and plenty of stars are expected to be on hand.
Texas Christian University film and TV professor, Fort Worth Film Commission executive board chair, and Lone Star Film Society board member, Tricia Jenkins, recently teamed up with reality TV star Clint Robertson to create the inaugural “Reality Fest.” The Fort Worth event will allow fans to “meet their favorite unscripted personalities and learn what goes on from the production side, as well,” said Jenkins. Robertson, who was a runner-up on NBC's ‘The Apprentice’ and is the current host of HGTV’s ‘Boise Boys and Outgrown,’ will be the event’s keynote speaker.

According to Dallas Culture Map, the event will include popular stars of reality franchises like ‘The Real Housewives of Dallas’ and ‘Survivor.’ They will also have a number of panels on the world or reality TV. For anyone who thought they should have their own reality show, this event may show them if they truly have what it takes.
