They say everything is bigger in Texas, and Sea World San Antonio has set out to prove that once again. The amusement park announced recently they will be debuting the world’s tallest and fastest attraction next year. The new “Tidal Surge” ride is a massive swing expecting to terrify riders starting in the spring of 2022.

While there are plenty of attractions that claim to be the biggest, fastest or scariest; the new “Tidal Surge” at Sea World San Antonio definitely has the specs to back up that claim. The new screaming swing will feature two pendulums swinging as high as 135 feet with speeds of up to 68 miles per hour. It will “levitate guests with pulse-pounding swings and breathtaking views,” claims the Sea World San Antonio website.

According to Click2Houston, the ride will be able to seat up to 40 riders at a time. Many fans are excited to give the new ride a try. Once open, those brave riders will be the judge of if the ride is truly the “tallest and fastest.”
