Coffee drinkers are very particular about where they get their morning cup of Joe. Some like the chains like Starbucks or Dunkin’ while others go with a local store or just make their own at home. However, a new contender is entering the game for those in DFW. It was announced recently that Canada’s most popular coffee and doughnut chain, Tim Hortons, is opening their first location in Texas.
Starting in 2022, Tim Hortons plans to launch multiple locations in Texas. While the first stores will be located in Houston, the chain plans “to open many more over the coming years,” according to the chain. The announcement was made during a TV commercial featuring Justin Bieber, who is an ambassador for the restaurant.

“Texas is one of the fastest growing out-of-home coffee markets in the U.S. and is still underpenetrated,” said Ricardo Azevedo, regional president of Tim Hortons U.S. According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, there are currently 650 Tim Hortons located in the United States. Now, Canada’s most popular coffee and doughnut chain will learn what Texas is all about.
