Having a picnic out in nature on a beautiful day is almost always an enjoyable experience, but the one downside people usually deal with is trying to keep animals away from their food. However, for a group of people in South Africa recently, it wasn’t their food they were worried about getting stolen, but instead their cooler full of beer. As seen in a video that has since gone viral, a crocodile got away with the group’s cooler, eventually fighting off another crocodile for the beer.
Over the weekend, the LatestSightnings Facebook page shared a video from the Rietspruit Game Reserve in South Africa where a group had an unexpected run in with a crocodile. During the group’s picnic, a crocodile approached them; snatching away their cooler full of beer, and taking it back to the water with it. According to Bro Bible, the video also shows the crocodile fighting over the cooler with another crocodile in the water.
“The two of them went at the cooler box as if it was an antelope they had killed,” said Davout Wolhuter, who can be heard narrating the video. Luckily, everyone in the group left unharmed, though with a few less beers in their system. At least the crocodile got to enjoy a few beers during spring break.
