Over the years, there have been a number of children’s movies made about dogs playing sports. While in most cases a dog succeeding at basketball, football or soccer seems outlandish, one dog recently showed maybe baseball is the sport dogs can excel at in real life. As seen in a video that recently went viral, a dog was able to catch a home run ball while in the stands of a recent Spring Training game.
MLB’s opening day is only a few days away, but after seeing this some fans may be asking for a few more Spring Training games. During a recent game between the Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Dodgers, a player hit a home run that somehow ended up in a dog’s mouth and not a fan’s glove. According to Bro Bible, the video quickly went viral, with many fans wondering when their favorite team would be signing the dog.
“I love everything about this. Yet again, dogs making something better,” said one commenter. It is unknown if the dog’s owner took the ball, or if the dog was able to keep it as a new chew toy. Maybe this dog will be catching balls for the Texas Rangers one day.
