Getting to see a wild animal in its natural habitat is almost always an incredible experience. However, when that animal is on the attack, things can quickly go from fun to terrifying. That’s exactly what one hiker in Texas experienced recently as a bison charged at her as she was filming it. Luckily the hiker kept filming, and now the video has gone viral.

Rebecca Clark was recently hiking at Caprock Canyons State Park when she spotted a group of bison on the trail. She quickly took out her phone and began filming, as she slowly walked by trying not to startle the animals. While the bison seemed calm at first, one quickly turns and begins charging Clark, ramming her from behind.

“He rammed my back, gored me and threw me into a mesquite bush where I laid for 50 minutes until help arrived,” Clark explained in a separate video. According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, Clark was later flown to a hospital for treatment. After this video, there won’t be too many hoping to go pet a bison any time soon.
