A home’s front lawn is usually the first thing someone sees when passing by, which is why so many homeowners take keeping their lawn clean very seriously. Of course, maintaining one’s lawn can be difficult, especially in the summer heat. Luckily there is a new lawn service in DFW for people to try. However, instead of lawnmowers this service uses goats.
Greg Kalldin of Weatherford has a herd of goats that he uses for the company he recently started, Goats on the Go Weatherford. Kalldin rents out his goats to homes needing lawn maintenance, as the goats will eat any unwanted vegetation on the property. “They're light on their feet, they're agile, and they don't really hurt the soil very much. They also leave fertilizer behind,” said Kalldin.

According to NBC DFW, the goats are currently working on a three week project, but once the job is done they are looking for a new assignment. One goat can clear about a quarter-acre of land a day and they work year-round on any terrain. With this new service, going outside to mow the lawn may soon be a thing of the past.
