Update 11:45 a.m. (2/2) - Mansfield ISD announces closures
The Mansfield ISD will be closed on Thursday and Friday. All after-school activities that take place after 6 p.m. on Wednesday are also canceled, as are after-school and UIL activities on Thursday and Friday.
Update 11:40 a.m. (2/2) - Grand Prairie ISD announces closures
The Grand Prairie ISD will be closed on Thursday and Friday, while all after-school activities and evening classes at Crosswinds have also been canceled for Wednesday.
Update 7:30 a.m. (2/2) - Texas Woman's University
In-person classes and events on the Denton and Dallas campuses of Texas Woman’s University will be offered virtually or, in some instances, canceled starting at noon (12 p.m.), Wednesday, Feb. 2, through Thursday, Feb. 3. Faculty will notify students about how this will affect their specific classes. Students in clinicals should contact clinical supervisors for direction. Only essential staff members will be on campus.
Update 12:20 p.m. (2/3)- University of North Texas
UNT will remain closed through Sunday. All Friday and Saturday classes are canceled. The university will reopen Monday, Feb. 7.
Dallas College
All Dallas College campuses and service locations will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 3, and Friday, Feb. 4. With the anticipated inclement weather, Dallas College has decided to suspend in-person operations both days, with all in-person classes also cancelled. Online classes, however, will continue as scheduled.
Texas A&M University-Commerce & Dallas Campus
All classes on the main Texas A&M University-Commerce campus and the Dallas site are canceled for Wednesday evening (effective at 5 PM) and the University will be closed through Thursday, February 3.
Update 10 p.m. (2/1) - Weatherford College announces closures
Weatherford College will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and campus will remain closed until Monday.
Update 10 p.m. (2/1) - Palo Pinto announces closures
Palo Pinto ISD will be closing its schools at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and closed on Thursday. A decision regarding Friday will be made closer to the time.
Update 10 p.m. (2/1) - DeSoto ISD announces closures
DeSoto ISD has said all offices and campuses will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
Update 10 p.m. (2/1) - Crowley ISD announces closures
Crowley ISD has said they will be closed for classes and all after-school activities on Thursday and Friday.
Update 8:00 p.m. (2/1) - Lancaster ISD to go virtual
Lancaster ISD has announced that on Thursday and Friday, classes will be held virtually.
Update 7:30 p.m. (2/1) - Duncanville ISD announces closures
Duncanville ISD has announced it will be closed both Thursday and Friday.
Update 7:00 p.m. (2/1) - Terrell ISD announces closures
Terrell ISD will be closed this Thursday, but have yet to make a decision regarding Friday.
Update 6:45 p.m. (2/1) - Cedar Hill ISD announces closures
The Cedar Hill ISD will be closed both this Thursday and Friday due to inclement weather.
Update 4:40 p.m. (2/1) - Garland ISD announces closures
The Garland ISD has canceled classes, but only for Thursday. A decision on Friday will be made later.
Update 4 p.m. (2/1) - Dallas ISD announces closures
In a statement, Dallas ISD said: "Due to anticipated inclement weather, all Dallas ISD schools and administrative offices will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3, and Friday, Feb. 4. Schools will not be expected to make up these days."
