Plenty of fans gave the actor their stamp of approval after seeing the images, but there was no word on how the man himself felt about the portrayal. Now, Kevin Von Erich has responded, and he says the actor is definitely the right guy for the job.
Kevin Von Erich appears to be a big Zac Efron fan, as the wrestling legend recently gave a big thumbs up to the actor after seeing photos of him on set. “I don’t think I ever looked that good,” Von Erich said in a recent interview. It helps that his daughters approve of the casting as well.
According to TMZ, Von Erich was impressed with Efron’s physique, claiming it was very time consuming for him to stay in shape during his prime. Other members of the family appear to approve of Efron as Kevin Von Erich as well, with Ross and Marshall Von Erich recently sharing a post giving Efron a shout out. With the family on board, anticipation for the film will continue to grow.
