Axl Rose leads stadium in 'Happy Birthday' tribute to Slash

Ain’t no party like a GN’R party! During the band’s performance in Athens, Greece on Saturday, July 22, Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose led the entire Olympic Stadium in a birthday tribute to guitarist Slash, who turned 58 over the weekend.

In a clip from the stage shared on their Twitter feed, Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose can be seen fronting the 50,000+ crowd in Athens with the stadium fully lit as Slash paces the foreground, finally thanking and waving to the sea of fans at the end.

Slash even thanked fans personally via his own social media accounts, saying the birthday tribute was "a perfect send off" that he'll always remember.
