Liam Gallagher not a fan of 'excruciating' Oasis impression on 'Saturday Night Live'

Saturday Night Live decided to poke the bear and give Oasis' Gallagher brothers their full 'Weekend Update' honors, and suffice it to say young Liam wasn't a fan.

Since neither brother will be doing interviews in the lead-up to Oasis' highly-anticipated 2025 tour dates, SNL cast members James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman (as Noel and Liam) took on 'Weekend Update' host Colin Jost's line of questioning -- a favor that wasn't very welcome given Liam's response to the October 12 broadcast.

Piling onto the running gag that the band could split before hitting the road, Jost asked the "brothers" exactly that, to which they responded in a bickering “I’m cool if he’s cool" / “I’m cooler than you are” shtick that continued throughout the sketch. Like children, the only thing they could agree on was their favorite cartoon and television characters.

Unimpressed, avid X user Liam Gallagher fired back after the fact, questioning whether the folks on his screen "were meant to be comedians," adding at another point he thought Sherman's impression of him was “Excruciating.”

Somehow we don't think Colin, James, or Sarah will be getting an invite backstage when the band makes their way across North America next year, since the brothers have expressed zero interest in speaking with "the media" about their reunion out of fear of being baited into hating each other again.

Oasis will make their return stateside 16 years after their last performance, while bringing their LIVE '25 celebration to fans all around the world next year, kicking off with sold-out shows in the UK, Ireland, and Scotland in July.
