
Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel kicked off their joint Two Icons, One Night 2023 tour in Los Angeles on Friday, March 10 at the SoFi Stadium, and during the hit-packed show, they chose to honor previous musical collaborators who have since passed on.

First up was Stevie Nicks, whose production team played Tom Petty’s “Runnin' Down a Dream” from tape as the last song before she took the stage. Nicks then launched into her set filled with solo singles and Fleetwood Mac covers, even bringing out Billy Joel to the stage early for a rendition of her "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around," originally recorded with Petty.
Stevie also chose to tribute Petty later in her set with a touching version of his hit "Free Fallin'" before closing out her show with a cover of "Landslide" dedicated to Christine McVie, capped off with photos of the pair over the years flashing on the big screen.
