US Postal Service now hiring in advance of busy holiday season

The United States Postal Service is already preparing for another busy holiday season, and it's looking for help.

Online shopping and shipping continues to increase this year and the USPS says it's committed to deliver. So hiring extra help has begun for the upcoming holiday season.

USPS officials say they're looking for committed and motivated individuals to join their team. Applicants can expect competitive wages and benefits, and career advancement opportunities.

This Thursday they'll host a job fair at the Dallas Processing & Distribution Center from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. and then again on Friday at the Spring Valley Post Office, from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

All applicants must at least be at least 18 years old, or age 16 with a diploma, a US citizen, must submit to a background check and drug screening, and have a valid driver's license and good driving record - if the position requires driving.
