Reno Police announced last week that a woman reported missing a month ago has been found dead along with her dog, crashed in her vehicle in Del Norte County, California, according to reporting by Dateline.

Courtney Bryan and her dog, Booch, were reported missing on Sept. 27 after going on a trip to the Hunt Hot Springs in Shasta-Trinity National Forest.

Bryan’s last known location was the hot springs, where she posted a final picture to Instagram on Sept. 23 and her last known phone contact was made that same day.

On Oct. 27, a hiker stumbled upon the 32-year-old Reno resident’s body down a hill in a vehicle registered to Bryan. According to the Reno Police Department, the spot where the vehicle was found is an accident-prone site off Highway 101.

Both she and the dog appear to have died from injuries related to the crash.

The Del Norte County Coroner's Office has yet to confirm officially that the bodies are Bryan and her dog, but authorities are confident in the identification, Dateline reported.

In an interview with Dateline earlier in October, Bryan’s sister Katana Curven said Bryan was "a free spirit and would often travel alone."

According to an Instagram post by Bryan's employer, the Patagonia Reno Outlet, she took some time off work to spend in the wilderness when she went missing.

Patagonia posted a message about Bryan over the weekend, after the discovery was made, calling Bryan, "a gregarious, funny, and thoughtful co-worker who will be dearly missed."
