Former President Donald Trump joined comedian Joe Rogan for a three-hour episode of his popular “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast this week, and during their talk they got around to discussing aliens.
In fact, the former president and current GOP presidential candidate brought up the subject while the two were discussing documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Jr. in 1963.
This August after JFK’s nephew – former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. – endorsed Trump’s campaign, Trump said he would establish a new independent presidential commission on assassinations. Trump himself was the subject of multiple assassination attempts this year, including the shooting in Butler, Pa., that claimed a bystander and injured Trump’s ear. He showed Rogan the scar as they taped the episode.
RFK believes the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency is linked to the assassinations of his uncle, as well as his father, Sen. Robert F.
Kennedy, Sr., who was also assassinated in the 1960s. The Week noted last year near the 60th anniversary of JFK’s death that the shooting spawned decades of conspiracy theories.
“There’s a lot of interest in it,” said Trump of his plan to release all remaining documents related to the JFK assassination. He said that he’s read about 50% of the remaining files.
When Rogan, also known as an actor and UCF commentator, asked Trump why he didn’t release the files during his first term in office, the GOP candidate said that “reasonable” people told him not to. Now, he believes opening them will be “fine,” he told Rogan.
“There’s a lot of interest in the people coming from space,” said Trump. “And I know you’re interested in that,” he added.
Indeed, Rogan has had guests on his show to discuss alleged Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) sightings. One of them is David Fravor, retired Commander in the U.S Navy, who detailed his experience from 2004 here.
“I’m very interested in that,” Rogan said to Trump. “How much did they tell you about that?”
“A lot,” said the former president.
He went on to say that he interviewed “a few people” on the topic.
“It’s never been my thing,” Trump continued. “I have to be honest. I never have been a believer.”
However, he said that his interviews with pilots who he described as “solid people,” made him pause. Trump said these pilots told him how they saw “a round ball, but it wasn’t a comet or a meteor.”
“It was something,” and it was moving faster than an F-22, said Trump.
Rogan asked Trump if he’s a believer now.
“There’s no reason not to think that Mars and all these planets don’t have life, you know,” said Trump. Rogan countered that finding life on Mars today isn’t likely, but Trump said there might be “life that we don’t know.”
He also revealed that people ask him about aliens all the time.
“I get that question as much as almost any question,” he explained. “’Do you think that we have aliens coming?’”
This March, the Department of Defense released a report that covers UFO and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) research going back to 1945. Its All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office’s Historical Record Report found no evidence that any UAP sighting is linked to extraterrestrial activity.
Eventually, Trump and Rogan pivoted to the Chinese spy balloon shot down last year and how some initially thought it was a UFO. From there, they moved on to wars in the Middle East and Europe, the possibility of World War III and the danger of nuclear weapons.
During the hours-long interview, Trump and Rogan touched on a wide range of topics, from Trump’s first visit to President Abraham Lincoln’s bedroom and his past life as a Democrat to vaccines. Although some conservatives were vehemently anti-vaccine during the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump actually said positive things about the polio vaccine in the interview.
“I know you’re against certain vaccines,” he said to Rogan, who came under fire in 2022 when a group of scientists said he spread misinformation about mRNA COVID-19 vaccines on his podcast. RFK Jr. has also come under fire for his anti-vaccine stance.
In addition to Kennedy, Trump has also made another new ally during his current campaign for the White House – controversial billionaire Elon Musk, known as the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX and as the owner of X (formerly Twitter). Musk might even take on a role in the Trump administration if the former president wins the election.
“That guy is such a great guy,” said Trump of Musk, adding: “He is from a different planet.”
