PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) Allegheny County has announced the creation and start of the COVID Field Response Team (COVID-FRT), which will begin tomorrow, July 23.
A team of 10 members contracted with Allegheny County will be going to businesses around the county to ensure they are following correct protocols being set by the city and state.

— Allegheny County (@Allegheny_Co) July 22, 2020During each visit, team members will complete a checklist of precautions that are expected to be followed by the business, including the mask mandate.
Each business that receives a visit will have their name, date of visit, and a copy of the checklist will be posted to the county's website.
COVID-FRT members will be checking for: Tables to be spaced far enough between to allow physical distancing; Indoor capacity not exceeding 25%; All staff members and customers wearing masks; No bar seating; No Smoking; Dine-in services are ended at 11:00 p.m.; Signage reminding customers of safety precautions.
Team members will initially visit bars and restaurants that have received complaints from the public.
If the Allegheny County COVID-FRT finds a business is not following all required COVID-19 guidelines, the Health Department's Food Safety Program will be notified and an inspector will be sent.
Violations could potentially result in a closure of the business.
Checklists are not expected to be seen by the public until Friday.
