Also, PA AG warns customers of gift card, coupon deadlines

With Rite Aid filing for bankruptcy again there are some things you need to know about, including a list local store closures.

Eventually all Rite Aid locations will close or be sold to another company, but for now, these Western PA locations will close sooner.

The fate of the other Rite Aid locations in the Pittsburgh area is not yet known, but some customers have noticed empty shelves at their neighborhood stores.

In addition, Pennsylvania’s Attorney General is warning customers of deadlines for returns, gift Cards, and rewards Program.

AG Dave Sunday is advising Rite Aid consumers that they have until June 6 to use any gift cards, coupons, or other Rite Aid rewards due to the company’s recent bankruptcy announcement.

In news release, Sunday says “I am encouraging Rite Aid customers to make returns and exchanges, and redeem gift cards and rewards points as soon as possible,” “These deadlines are approaching fast, and accrued points and gift card balances will soon become valueless.”

New Rite Aid, LLC, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey on May 5.

Any consumers who experience issues redeeming their Rite Aid points, should submit a complaint to the Bureau of Consumer Protection online.
