One sent to hospital in early morning Homewood shooting

PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) Early Friday morning, Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 responded to a ShotSpotter alert in Homewood South.

Officers were called to the 7200 block of Kelly Street after multiple rounds of gunfire were heard just before 5:00 a.m.

Responding officers found a male victim with gunshot wounds to his right leg.

The man was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Crime Scene Units arrived to investigate and process the evidence.

Currently there is no suspect or description and the investigation is open and ongoing.
