A small system of snow could make for a tricky commute on Thursday morning.
National Weather Service meteorologist Colton McCarrick tells KDKA Radio, while it won’t be much snow, it will all be about timing.
“It’s probably going to provide a light coating to less than an inch, generally area-wide, but the one key thing will be timing,” said McCarrick. “Unfortunately, it’s falling during those morning commute hours again.”
At the very most, two inches of snow could fall.
While the snow is expected to be light, because it will be so cold, the snow that does fall will stick.
There could be some school delays, but again, it will depend on the timing.
And, it will remain cold over the next week, with lows in the low-teens Friday morning and temperatures in the single digits.
The National Weather Service says we may not get above 40 degrees until December 9 or later.
As for Tuesday’s storm, the NWS says it’s the biggest snowfall for a single day since March 2022.
Some areas north of the city got over four inches.
